Fire Safe Build India (FSBI) - Curtain Raiser was hosted on 14 October 2022 at the JIO World Convention Centre in Mumbai, India. FSBI will be the first ever focused exhibition and multi-dimensional platform showcasing products, solutions and technology for the passive fire protection Industry with over 100 participants from the passive fire industry in attendance. Abhishek Chhabra from Thomas Bell-Wright International Consultants presented on the topic of "Building a Fire Safe India: Evolving Codes and Compliances" during this event. This was followed by a presentation by Mr. V Jagdish from IIT Gandhinagar's Centre of Safety Engineering¸ a new fire testing lab to boost research and development in the area of fire safety in the country.

A stellar panel discussion on The Fundamentals of Passive Fire Protection featuring Industry Leaders including Santhosh Warrick, Maharashtra Fire Services; Shridhar Rao, Head of MEP, Reliance, Arvind Chakravarty, Hilti; Hemant Khadse, Eastcrop; Pradeep Dani, Vijay Systems Engineers and Ruchir Panwar, E3+ Architects; was brilliantly moderated by Mohamed Yassar from FM Approvals, and it succeeded in bringing forth the challenges with regards to implementation of passive fire protection in our country.

The premier edition of Fire Safe Build India scheduled from 9 - 11 February, 2022 at Jio World Convention Centre Mumbai is expected to cater to this growing demand and create a decisive platform for the Industry to converge and discuss future technologies and policy framework. Leading Stakeholders from the Industry will gather to disseminate information, gain knowledge, exchange ideas, exhibit, discover innovative perspectives, solutions and products.
